OPERATION PYTHON DANCE: IKPEAZU CONDEMNS SOLDIERS ATTITUDES, EXTENDS CURFEW IN ABA

Abia State governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu, has extended the three days curfe imposed on Aba to Friday, 15th September 2017.

Following security concerns and potential for breakdown of law and order, Ikpeazu had declared a three day 6pm to 6am curfew at Aba from Tuesday12/09/2017 to Thursday 14/09/2017.

In a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Enyinnaya Appolos, Ikpeazu urged residents and visitors to fully cooperate with security agents to ensure continued maintenance of law and order within Aba andenvirons.

The governor condemned soldiers for compelling residents to raise their hands while passing through security checkpoints and warned that inhumane and barbaric treatment of people should be stopped.
