Buhari Supporters And Attack on Charlie Boy; My Story

The attack on Charlie boy at Wuse market, has revealed who some of us truly are and the credentials of some of us to progressivism and patriotism have been made bare.

Most of us are patriotic to the Throne and not to the Empire; while some of us are patriotic to the Empire, irrespective of who occupies the Throne.

I supported the emergence of President Buhari alongside others but some people whom I supported and campaigned for Buhari with, are spinning the our campaign rallies, distorting facts, to justify the attack on Charlie Boy by urchins, believed to be sponsored by APC and President Buhari aides.

Throughout our campaign for President Buhari, we were NEVER attacked by anybody. At Gudu spare parts market dominated by Igbo traders sympathetic to former President Jonathan, we marched round the market, singing and sharing flyers. What the pro-Jonathans did was to march behind us, singing their Jonathan songs. Joyfully we all campaigned for our respective candidates and left. They even collected our flyers and we had fun.

At Bannex, another Igbo/pro-PDP/Jonathan dominated electronic market, we campaigned and received similar treatment we got at Gudu market.

I repeat, at no time, did anybody touch, abuse or throw any missile at us.

Our activities, were known to the DSS. I got calls from a friendly operative who advised me to be careful with my activities. I met another one at Haribina hotel Jabi. He identified me and bought me drinks and also advised that for the sake of my children, that I should tone down my campaign movements and posts. We finished our drinks and left. He claimed he is my friend on facebook and honestly, I cannot make out his face among my list of friends.

While I was going to Owerri to campaign and vote for Buhari, a Comrade called me and told me where I was and advised that I be careful and asked why was I not shocked that he knows where I was at that material time. He told me that my activities were being monitored. I campaigned for Buhari and voted for Buhari at TTC Azaraegbelu, Emekuku Ward ii. I proudly told them that if Buhari gets one vote at my pooling unit, let them know it was my vote. I voted, showed them my ballot and left. NO BODY ASSAULTED ME, or CALLED ME NAMES. At the market square, I entertained them and discussed the decay in my village due to negligence by PDP. I slept peacefully and was not kidnapped.

180 degrees after, we are facing APC/Buhari with the same PDP sickness and what do we get? Tear gas, water cannon, K-9 and assault. I beg of you pro-Buhari protesters, both here on facebook and out there, I have not done to Buhari what I did to Jonathan and he is already baring his fangs. If we move into 2018-19, I guess the beast in APC will be let loose on any person who dares to campaign against Buhari and APC.

I am worried. My worry is that, if Federal Government controlled by APC can do this to peaceful protesters, imagine what State Governors will do? All State governors that will exhaust their constitutional 2 terms of 4 years, are seeking 3rd term through the back door. They are scheming to have either their son in law succeed them or a stooge that will not expose the looting that has taken place under their watch. I am worried that there will be waste of innocent souls ahead of 2019 General election and this unfortunate attack on Charlie Boy, is a fart preceding the shit that will hit the ceiling!
