Acting President Yemi Osinbajo today, February 13 narrated an interesting story that revolves around him and former President Olusegun Obasanjo.
Osinbajo was speaking at the 2017 Murtala Muhammed Foundation Memorial Lecture held at the Shehu Yar’adua Centre, Abuja.
He told the audience how he went for an ECOWAS summit and a French man approached him asking if he was Obasanjo’s son.
The man was apparently confused over the similarity between the names Osinbajo and Obasanjo, the acting president opined.
According to him, he responded to the French man saying: ‘’Yes, as a matter of speaking.''
He continued: ‘’I have not managed to become anywhere near as controversial as baba, but give me time as a good soon, I will.''
The comments of the acting president drew wide laughter from the audience including Chief Obasanjo himself.
Among those present at the event were the Archbishop of Abuja Diocese; Cardinal John Oniyekan, his Sokoto state counterpart; Bishop Matthew Kukah and the FCT minister; Alhaji Muhammed Musa Bello.
